common sense refers to a combination of simple logic and commonly held beliefs and attitudes. some people do have little common sense. someone without common sense could have a lack of intelligence, or, on the other hand, could have greater inelligence, along with a more independent cognitive style and/or complex understanding of the world.

People have feelings and reasoning. The feeling is supposed to keep the reasoning alive with passion and the reasoning is supposed to make the passion reasonable. Some people do things just because they feel like it or do the right things for the wrong reasons!
