If you were the PM of Israel how would you resolve the crisis?

What if you were the Head of Palestinian or Lebanese resistance how would you resolve it?

I personally think that the smart thing for Hezbollah to do at this point would be to stop firing rockets and return those 2 soldiers. If they would do this then they would take away Israel's excuse for the war. And we both know that Israel does NOT want to stop at this point. This would illustrate to the world that Israel has crossed the line of defending itself and entered the realm of cruelty.

I haven't worked out my answer for Israel yet because I am still on the fence about who is right and who is wrong over the entire situation. Of course Israel has a right not to be slaughtered but at the same time, the Palestinians have a right to take back land that was basically stripped from them. I tend not to go with the argument that Israel had it first.. how long ago? I just am not comfortable with how Israel was created by outside entities.. meaning I understand these ppl's beef.

I think that both sides need to compromise and because the core of all this is Jerusalem then they should split it down the middle. Or heck, make some kind of joint custody thing where they get it half the year then they others get it half the year.

I do know that I am completely against this barbaric means of basically destroying Lebanon just because they have the strength to do so. I seriously am thinking recently that too much testosterone is going to cause the destruction of the world.

If I was PM of Israel, I would think that by now I've proved my manhood, and I would want to cut my losses on the war. I'd be easy on the terms for a temporary cease fire, pull troops out and stop the airstrikes. This would should what a good guy I was and get me a tad more international sympathy. However, as a condition to the cease fire, under the table with the US I would demand more weapons and military aid, including the latest, coolest war toys. I'd get this because the US really does want to stop the fighting, it's hurting their prestige.

Then I would bargain very hard in the peace negotiations, using Shebaa Farms and all Arab prisoners as the bargaining chips they were intended to be.

This was a fun question, like thinking about what I'd do if I won a lotto.

As they are doing now hoping for an international force to secure a buffer zone within Lebanon and make their borders secure.
If head of the Palestinians I would appreciate the futility of the situation and think of my people. A secure Israel would create a secure Palestine which (with international aid and investment) could be very viable state.

As a Senior leader of Palestine (not Hisbollah), I will talk about my people who are driven out of our land in the international forums and get a fair settlement.

I am sure that I will get those back as I wanted, may be 10% less is no matter to me while comparing the plight of my own brothern.

I will listen to genuine lawyers and politicians of international reputation.
I will not adhere to the interests of the Islamic Terrorists and Jihadis.
I, first ask them to do their duties properly as soldiers.
I will not promote hatred and kill my people in my land in the hands of (so called) enemies due to my incapability, rather I prefer death to surrender!!!!!

I know that I have a majority supporters in my land but my ambition is to exxtend the power of my pen till the borders of Syria in the name of Islam.

I am not a loser, when it gets damaged, it will be Lebanon and also Christians feel the pinch. But they cann't talk anything as they come under the map of Lebanon.

So I train my boys anywhere I feel like, my aim is, they should carry any arm and shoot at Jews or Christians or damage their property or kill them in the form of human bomb.

I hate these two. I want to retaliate them in the name of holy war. For that I already got support from my good friends.

I know that lot of young blood will die and I honour them with name "martyr" which my people believe in.

But I love the top seat, I love to lookat my people from the top balcony of my large villa, I love their dance and jump "God is great" shoutings etc.

I would send my air force or whatever to hit 100 strategic points in Iran including where Khamenei and Ahmadinejad live.
