Romeo and Juliet (1968)
Franco Zeffirelli
music, story and cinematography were all excellent
with a supporting cast of dozens of the top actors and actresses
from Europe and Great Britain.
Verona never looked better
and all done for probably 10% of what Cameron spent to produce
Titanic

I love romantic movies with a happy ending. Titanic and Gone with the wind didn't have good endings but I enjoyed watching them both.
The The Notebook is one of my favorite and I'm looking forwarding to seeing The lake House. Something new, is also a very romantic movie.
I just love romantic movies!

The Notebook.
Absolutley brilliant. If you've not seen it then please go and rent a copy, it's a bit long but oh! you will cry your eyes out and smile and feel all nice and gooy inside.
Just a quick note of what it's about: a young couple meet way back before the war while the girl is visiting her aunt, and fall in love. She has to go back home. They don't see each other for some years then while the war is going on they meet, I think she is a nurse and he gets hurt or something, i've not seen it in a while. but they rekindly their love and live happily ever after. The sad twist is that the lady is now in a hospital because she has alzheimers, and the husband reads her the story of there life (which we just watched) everyday in the hope that she will remember it all and him. He sneaks in to see her one evening and she remembers him and then they die in there sleep together...... Very sad... sob sob, sniff.

I think that Just Like Heaven is a wonderful romance. Beauty and the Beast is also very sweet and Robin Hood (Kevin Costner) is really romantic. Oh and Titanic has gotta be one of the greatest love stories ever.

I would have to say Casablanca because I was emotional entact with the film and the memorable scene it had. I even like the part when Rick told Ilsa that she must move on and never forget the time of the things they have together, and I think it's the best romantic scene I ever saw in motion pictures.
