I have a Toshiba Tecra 8200. The other day I got an error messege "Warning: Remuse Error Press any key to continue" This is when I started my computer. Then I was having trouble getting it to power up at all. Now it wont' even turn on. What could it be? Software? Hardware? How can I fix it?

i think remuse could be your boot cfg. instructions have rem typed at the beginning to prevent them working ( rem use). if it won't boot up into windows, try pressing f8 as it comes on until you get a screen with some choices which may help. if there's no power it could have a fuse blown in the plug. practically useless answer but i felt inclined to try help. good luck.

try disabling hibernation.

Well there is only one answer for ur case:
1.You say ......""Now it wont' even turn on"".....these mean for me that u have a hardware failure (in most cases is the mother board). U have 2 solutions: 1. Go to a Toshiba service to check ur laptop (in 75% cases can be fixed ....but take some time) and 2nd .....buy another laptop (this is the most expenshive solution but.....faster one). Feel free to contact me ....if u want on yahoo messenger.

Well tracyssocool darling without looking at the PC cant help you. Try checking your Electric power cable. Is it link properly? If power plug has fuse that needs replacing. That is your main problem. Once you can boot your PC honey then you will know if it is a software problem until then darling you have hardware problem.

do you have a restore disk? or do you have one built into the computer ? if you can run the restore disk or run the one built in and let it restore the computer back to factory condition, you'll have to reinstall your ISP. ( Internet service provider) who you use to get on line. but this will fix just about any problems .
