Yea it's just a word. But listen to people when they use and how they use it. Does the f word fit the situation or does just make the speaker sound ignorant. We've all heard someone use the f word multiple times in one sentence. Honestly doesn't it sound like that person is a complete moron? Now place yourself in that spot and imagine what a person would think if they we're hearing you..

Just because it seems like the norm in your culture doesn't necessarily mean it's appropriate. I am the kind of person who wouldn't talk like that even with my closest friends. You simply do not need to use words like that when there are other ways of conveying your message or expressing yourself. I live near a number of inner-city neighborhoods and sometimes when you get on the city transit bus, that's all you hear: F-this, F-that and you would hear that every fifth or sixth word. To me that seems pointless and annoying.

It's a word, just like any words.

It's the meaning behind it that makes it taboo.

But people are flexible, and can expand the boundaries of a word's meaning far from its dictionary application.

It's pretty common. There's a lot of people who don't go by their own cultures, but it just really depends on their beliefs. I was born a Lutheran (or however you spell it) but I still use the word. lol

i use it.... among friends ... hahahhaa

Using it in the public area dont seems right. Most important it's the tone/ phrase you use it with that make it sound real bad, as a joke or funny gesture etc.

No, it may be to other people but I can find much better words to express my feelings.

yes, as a curse word... it is not considered nice, but peolpe use it (in it's English form, not a translation) and it can be heard on tv....no beeping sounds here...everything goes.
