I think you can find someone with whom you are compatible, at least at first, before you discover their character flaws. If you find someone compatible, who has compatible flaws as well, then I guess you might consider them your "soul mate", whatever that is supposed to mean. Whatever means you need to use to convince yourself that the person you are with is perfect for you helps to keep you from wandering to someone else.

Soul mates is a naive concept based on a romantic notion of fidelity and lifelong commitment. Unfortunately, the statistics for divorce show how unrealistic this concept is becoming in the 21st century where multiple partners throughout a person's life becomes the norm.

How do you know, when they bring out the best in you
I found my soul mate about 4 and a half years ago, and yes he does bring out the best in me.
It is like the first time you met, you just know and feel like you already know them.

I believe there could be perfect soul mates, I thought i had mine... I was married for 26 yrs, till the enemy came in, like a thief in the night.. It always takes two willing souls..

This is a complex situation we have here.. I believe that there are actually many folks out there that we can become compatable with, but it is up to what i will call destiny (in order to not offend the non- religious) to bring us together is some way or another.. And when we find this person we have to act out of love through the thick and the thin, and with that in mind everything will be perfect....

I never had a twin when I was born lol so nah me got no soul mate lol but then again my soul is my mate, me and only me lol.

i believe in soul mates but i also believe that is very difficult to find him/her....but if u ever meet ur soul mates all ur feelings are going to change and something inside to u it will make u say that "his the one"

yes, my boyfriends and i are soul mates. i know it for sure, you see i fell e-love with him first time i saw him, we've been together for many years now and it's still perfect. all my problems that i had before him never occurred ever since (you see, I'm a high educated woman and the main problem with me before had been boredom, i got bored with all my boyfriends). it is hard to find someone like that, but when it happens it's simply perfect.

There are many soulmates out there for you.
Story goes they come by like the great boxers - every 10 years.
And you can't tell. You usually end up taking them as friends and suddenly you're on a long-term relationship. If you live consciously, this is usually how it goes.
