nah, it's not snobbish: it's downright insane and foolish.
i mean, as a muslim, i feel very right and unyielding about some issues connected to my religion (like for example, God being One, Jesus being a prophet, Muhammad being the last of God's messengers etc.). Now besides those, I'd be crazy to believe myself to be right, while I feel everyone else is wrong. It's only arrogance and ignorance that make people see life like that.

Yes, it is snobbish! The human beings are just part of the world and we have to respect the rest existing in this world. But unfornately we are not and are destroying our living enviromant, all the lives will be disappeared from this earth in a expectable day. Just like the die out of dinosaur time!
Why we got such solid basis of thought, because we havn't found out our position in this world and put ourself in a worry position: The Ruler of Everything in this world!

Nah, it's actually ignorance. But then it doesn't make you a snob, because everyone else is thinking the same. Everyone thinks that they are the most important people in the world, even though they seldom admit it. Think of it this way, if you were in a situation where you or someone else were going to die and you could choose one of you to survive, then you would obviously choose yourself. Because you value yourself above anyone else at the end of the day. The same goes in everything, you value your own opinion above all else.

Although a little narrow way of thinking...it is very natural to think that you are the only right person in the world. Everybody looks the world in his own perspective, and others look it differently. It's very natural that one feels that he is the only right person on this earth.
Others may also be right but only so long that they don't counter us.

we are coming from the basis of thought that if you question my analysis you are questioning my whole belief structure, upbringing, education. This is such a threat to me that I can not allow your attack to succeed.
really I know that most things don't matter much, and the rest don't matter at all.

While we can be our own harshest critics, we are also the staunchest advocates for our own position. Humans are stubborn in the extreme, and compromise can cause tension and feelings of betrayal. We all think our viewpoint is right...and it leads to squabbles, fistfight, barroom brawls, and international nuclear war.
