hi..i agree with what another answer here which talks abt the numerical prefixes...in the fashion world..though i have heard the following more often:
monochromatic: single colour
Duochromatic: two colours(havent heard anyone saying dichromatic so far)
Trichromatic: three colours
polychromatic/multichromatic(same thing): many colours

No, 2 colours would be DICHROMATIC, therefore 3 would be TRICROMATIC. A less technical answer would be a colourfull mess.
