Racism is always going to be around because there's so many people who CHOOSE not to live with differences (different life styles, clothing, music, etc) . I think it's beyond pointless honestly, and those people should forget what their family/friends taught them. Same with homophobia. I'm bi, and people should just respect me for who I am not what type of people I like. But don't pay any attention to them. Just remember, we're the ones who know at least we're doing something right!

The basis of all racism and discrimination is fear. Fear of what we don't know or don't understand. As such, we often offset that fear or control our fear by treating the group or race that we are afraid of or don't understand as inferior. .

There have been many psychological studies of "She's not like me", where they suggest that as young children, we learn to define what's human by the kinds of people we're exposed to. And if we see something different, sometimes in our inner mind, we are tempted to wonder if this is still a human being. But if you learn from an early age that there are many varieties of human being, then it won't become such a potentially racist situation. Sometimes hate simply cannot be explained, and frankly, it's best if we don't try to.

Insecurity not fear! What is there to fear from someone who is born liking someone else that is just lke them? WHat is Frightful abut being darker in skin tone? Nothing. To a child maybe. Children can use the excuse of fearing what they dont understand. Why? Because they are innocent and dont know any better most of th time. But as you grow and realize Hardships and Pressure and things like racism and hate, and you contirute to it in anyway your jus plain rotten. Right down to the bone. People usually Gay bash out of Jealousy. Th beaters are usually Closeted homosexuals who are jealous usually because the victim is/was able to Flaunt their sexuality with out any fear of rejection. They presented them sleves to the world and took whatever came their way with out a care in the world. And the Beater is so jealous thatb they have to conform to society and what their familiy expects of them! As far as white men beating up Black men, its a age old tale. White slave owners used to envy the black man because they viewed them as Warrriors strong and proud, bodies tend to be lean and muscular. Sexual predators with that big black meat between their legs. Spawning Jealousy amongst the white slaveowners whos wives were sneaking them in the slave quarters for a Good poke in the whiskers! Black men Beating white men because White men have "Power" and "Money" and oppurtunities. White men dont get followed in stores or beat by a bunch of Black Policemen.
