I am always shocked when I read literacy studies by how high the illiteracy rates are. Some estimates are as high as 40% unable to read well enough to understand the instructions on a pill bottle. Read the instructions in an electronics user manual, you must be joking.

the only time I read the manual is if something that I did know how to work stopped working.

i try it first without then if there is an error i go to the manual

I sure don't! Well, I read about how to hook something up and how it works, etc, but I don't read the entire thing.
