I agree actually. We're all hung up on "getting it right" and never making mistakes, but that makes us unhappy.
If we allowed ourselves to be what we are - flawed, daft, insecure etc, we'd all be a lot happier.
A very philosophical question, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

It depends on what you mean -- what you expect of a rehearsal. It would have to be a "dress" rehearsal, with all parts already memorized and no scripts held to be consulted. The actors would have to share the seriousness of the occasion as well -- that no gret tragedy would occur if a line were muffed, but reputations are at stake. If you think people would "be a lot happier if they treated" life as a play instead of a real thing, then I think you have lost aim: it would not work.

In life most precious things and opportunities come to us usually only once. And I do not remember anyone rehearsing their moments of happiness before their happiness is actually realised. But, hey! Wait a minute buddy, I think you have a point there! – if, for example, we spend all our lazy hours rehearsing the real thing - the happiness to it perfection than, sure we will be 'a lot happier' lot. You see, we can pass our time rehearsing happiness all the time. Just tell me when is the next session?

yes to the fact that life, if treated too seriously may be robbed of the savour. if we could take a step back and treat life as a rehearsal and hence treat life with a little more levity, perhaps we might, ironically, in turn learn to treasure life with more savour.
no to the fact that if life was treated with too much levity, it might prevent us from treasuring life, letting it slip away with such negligence time will only lay ruin to it.
so i guess a balance needs to be struck.and this would be a matter of personal discretion

Well, it's a good point. Life is a Rehearsal, you learn then act. You can replay it if you want and if you are bad you will get sacked.
