I have suwanneevalley.net which is a company out of Live Oak, FL. I pay at least $21.00 for dial-up. Should I switch and to whom? Also, how can I utilize the internet to keep in touch with folks and communicate with my international friends? I want to use the internet more than just research, email, and asking questions here. Please give me all you can dish out to help me with this multi-faceted question. Thank you in advance.

See if you can talk them into a bundle deal.......internet, cable and phone service all on one bill.

please get off of dial up go to bright house networks if you're in Florida, its a bit more but the connection is always on and you can save on cable, Internet and home phone and you get it all in one package,
also you might wanna find the local kid that's a computer geek that lives near by so he can see if there are any open wireless networks around your house that you can connect to for free.
but if you're willing to pay I would suggest you go to bright house and get cable Internet it will allow you to do all the things you wanna do + a lot more and its not much more expensive than you're dial up about $15 more bucks /mo + taxes etc
