I think that all you can do is wash your face with a special cleanser, like Clearasil. There are daily ointments that you can apply to help prevent them.

As far as I know pimples come from clogged pores, and hormones can cause them also. What I do is wash my face with is actually baby wash and HOT water and then I rinse my face with COLD water to close my pores.

Hope this helps.

There are two types...blackheads (these are black spots because of oil and dirt blocking the pores of the skin) and true acne which is caused by bacteria and hormone changes. Both need a regular cleansing of the face with a mild soap...but a product named Selsun if used correctly will remove the surface layer of the skin and helps relieve both. But acne responds well to antibiotics and you need to see a physician and let him decide which drug is best for you. Do not use any cosmetics or skin oils...until the problem is solved

If you need medical explination, here it is:the hygiene of the face is important. Also, aidful is antibiotics, because pimples are caused by bacterias (from Propionibacterium species).Newer way to administrate antibiotic(s) is so called electrophoresis (administration of antibiotic with use of electricity and needles directly around pimples).
Also, you can try antibiotics directly on pimples (for example,Betadine),and,in last line, analyses for testosteron in blood and consequent therapy (if testosteron is higher).

Use of proper skin care products that suits your skin type. If you have sensitive skin, try products meant for sensitive skin. Do not squeeze them as your wounds might get infected without proper handling.
