ASOS does size 6 dresses and a lot of the styles currently are tailored so with the right accessories can be worn as formal. Also La Redoute starts from a 6,check the website.www.laredoute.co.uk.

I wouldn't go to monsoon, I am a UK 6 and Monsoon dresses are way to big, Coast is a good shop for formal dresses, they also do nice formal skirts and corsets. I think you should try it on though, I have similar problems getting dresses, you really need to try it on.

TK Max bring in some gorgeous dresses in that size sometimes. The only other outlets I know that do smaller sizes are catalogues & Logo but I'm not sure wether they have more than one store, this one is in Hyde, Cheshire.

'Next to Nothing' always seem to have size 6 and size 20 on the rail (so my wife tells me!) Try any 'factory outlet/ designer village' place to find one...

all depends on how soon you need it, the internet is good if you can wait a while, but you can't try things on, i suggest monsoon or river island.
