Trying to figure out how to see if there is 2 yahoo's downloaded on my pc. Hard to explain, but I need to figure out how to get rid of one. Bear with me,plz, I have "tried" doing "maintance,etc,LOL" on my own. Not real pc literate and have created some problems. Hope u can understand this!!

u can never install two yahoo messengers on ur pc untill they are of different version.....to check what all u have downloaded in ur pc or in ur case checking if u have installed the two messengers, simply go to add/remove programs.....u can go to add/remove programs by :
>> click start and then control panel....after this add remove programs.....
if u come to know that u have installed two messengers then go to add/remove programs and uninstall one....

if I am understanding this correctly..you think you have two versions of yahoo? and you want to remove one? To remove any program...you need to go to MY Computer and you should be able to find Add/Remove programs...click on it and you will be able to see all programs that you have added...and find what ya need and beside each one will have Change/Remove...find the one you want and remove it.....hope this helps.

andie1591 which version windows are you using. If you are using XP then use your restore point to restore it where you know your PC was working or functioning properly.
andie1591 try searching your file in EXPLORE LIKE THIS:
YAHOO*.*
you will find all file with name yahoo and extension.

go to your control panel, then go to add/remove hardware under there you will find all downloaded programs. Delete 1.

perhaps you only have 2 shortcuts, not two yahoo programs.
