I think if you love someone, and when you are in the arms of your beloved then you cannot stop yourself from getting close to your beloved. At that time you totally concentrate upon being close to your beloved. You feel safe and secure in the arms of your beloved thats why you surrender yourself to your partner. So i think comparing sex with marriage is not fair from my point of view.

Try to avoid it. You will only get many troubles for the sake of insignificant, temporary enjoyment. If you haven't done it till now try to abstain from it completely by exploring spirituality. If you are unable just get married, but be prepared for many difficulties. Sex is to be reduced as much as possible. It is actually meant for procreation of good children only.
