Do you know that half of the oil production on Alaska's North Slope is being shut down because (or so they say) of pipe corrosion, or that the price of oil may go up at least $10 per barrel because of it. Do you remember the shortage of gasoline last summer after hurricanes hit the states on the Gulf of Mexico?

I read about that this morning. I'm glad I take the train and bus to work! This winter's going to be brutal though with heating costs going through the roof. Last Friday our petrol went up too. From P4.85 to P5.05 a litre. I hope the Alaska thing wont push the price up too..
