I had my period over one month ago, and I had sex towards the last days of my period (only ones the whole month). We used a condom. I dont see any signs of my period coming, I dont experience morning sickness, breat tenderness,...I took a pregnancy test last week one or two days before my scheduled day for my period and it was negative. Can I still be pregnant? I always thought that during the period and towards the end of the cycle are the least possible times to get pregnant.

Well you can get pregnat anytime, even during the worst part of your period... A pregnancy test can never give you a false positive, but it can give you a false negative, so be careful, and if you can get to an OBGYN, go, if not, keep testing till you get your period or you start showing...You would'nt fell morning sickness or breast tenderness yet, you are generally symptomatic toward the last part of the first trimester. Good Luck!

you can get pregnant at anytime. that is true, with your description of the situation it doesn't sound likely that you are. stress can cause your period to delay, so can a few other things. however i felt the need to let you know that you are always more likely to have a false negative than a false positive test. obviously because there may not be enough hcg hormone built up to be detected by the test even though you are pregnant. sometimes you can get a false positive by medications you could be taking that could show up as a positive in the test. ripserdal for instance can produca a false positive test. pregnancy tests are looking for a hormone called hcg for short. typically it is produced in pregnant women, however, it can show up even when you aren't pregnant because of a medicine that you have taken or something that has the hcg hormone in it. no biggy, that isn't a concern for you and it isn't a really frequent occurance. that is why they say you don't typically get a false positive, however, i didnt want anyone thinking that there was no way you could ever have a false positive because there is. anyhow, back to the real point, if you are still concerned, take another test, it has been a week, if it is still negative, i'd think you are stressed or something else is going on. and those times are the least likely times for most women to get pregnant, but you still can get pregnant. the egg you ovulate has 24 hours to get fertilized, but sperm can live up to 7 days inside you. you so could have had sex five or sex days before you ovulated and still get pregnant. just as info. anyhow, try not to stress about it to much and your period should come around. good luck

Mostly you are right. Your chances of getting pregnant are less. But one need to wait for atleast 45 days for final confirmation.

Your cycle will continue soon.. Dont worry.
