God is a manifestation of people's insecurity/ignorance of life after death and resolution in powers assumed to have created the existence of beings.
Death is when something loses the ability to function as a living being, and the heart/brain (I'm assuming you're talking about humans) stop functioning, stopping the animation of the human and theoretically the human loses all memory, conscious, thoughts, and functions.

Life is the prerequisite to sentience.
Gods are human inventions which serve many purposes, such as primitive means of explaining our origins or enforcing moral codes. Gods also give many people great emotional comfort, as most people are not emotionally strong enough to deal with a godless universe.
Death is the end of sentience and of experiencing. It is oblivion. When you die you cease to have a present or a future, only a past which quickly fades from the memory of others.

Life is the characteristic state of organisms. Properties common to terrestrial organisms (plants, animals, fungi, protists and bacteria) are that they are cellular, carbon-and-water-based with complex organization, having a metabolism, a capacity to grow, respond to stimuli, reproduce and—through natural selection—adapt.
God is a Germanic name for deified reference ("reverence") to the unitary concept of deity —most commonly described as an intelligent consciousness of infinite spiritual substance that underlies or permeates through the whole natural and physical universe, and is therefore said to be both its "creator and ruler." As the supreme deity, God is worshipped, and "his" favour is courted by believers, who claim to have a direct or mediated relationship with "him." As such, separate cultures have developed distinct and particular concepts of faith and worship, which are the foundations for the world's various ethnic-traditional belief systems.
Death is the full cessation of vital functions in the biological life. This article discusses death in the biological sense of the term, and its place in various cultures.

Life: where we come to gain a body, gain experience and wisdom, gain understanding and knowledge, get necessary covenants and ordinances done with and through God, have families, build the Kingdom of God, etc.
God: A perfect being of flesh and bones, immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing, supreme creator, judge, Father, and more.
Death: Take a glove and put it on your hand. Imagine the glove is you, or your body. Now, take your hand out of the glove. Your hand is your spirit, your personality, your thoughts, YOU. Your body now is an empty shell (like the glove is). This is what happens when you die. The body and the spirit seperate from one-another. The body is layed in the ground and the spirit rises to another place....
Hope these answered your questions thoroughly enough.

Life is carbon based matter that behaves in a goal directed organized manner.
God means many different things to many different people. He/she/it may or may not exist as a "personal being", but since God is typically is conceived as the "creator of all things", many physicists regard nature itself to be God (i.e., "all things come from nature"). (Following Einstein's famous quote.)
Death is the cessation of goal directed behavior and chemical denaturing of the aforementioned carbon based matter.
