From an objective point of view, they don't. But unfortunately tumultuous global debacles don't accommodate such whimsical pipe dreams. Its all about imperialism, baby.

Well, that depends on whose definition you are going by.
It's like trying to solve a Roman Numeral math problem with Arabic numerals.
We've got 3 definitons to consider: the first two would be the two opposing sides, currently Israel and Hezbollah.

The 3rd one would belong to all the armchair politicians who sit n their comfy homes, watching the war happen on the news.

What you define as "wrong" may be actually mean "survival" to someone who is closer to the action.

So, it's just not as simple as reaching from your living room to rap the knuckles of those engaged in a fight for survival, just because you deem that "2 wrongs don't make a right."

Regarding brains, where do you come into the picture.

War is not a matter of two wrongs making a right, but of one parties finding it necessary to force people to do things for whatever reason.

These can be good or bad reasons.

If I want to tyrannize a tribal people for imperial gain, I might go to war.

Also, if I wanted to stop Lebanese terrorists from amassing rockets that they would eventually fire into my country without any kind of defined strategic plan other than to just kill Jews, and if those same terrorists were allowed by their own government to roam along my border and kidnap soldiers and harass civilians, etc. etc. etc. I might find it necessary to go to war to force these people into engaging a way of self government that did not encourage the kinds of terrorism perpetrated by Muslim extremists.

Hezbollah is not a government or any kind of legitimate political organization. They do not collect taxes for civic improvements, they do not maintain police forces for the protection of the citizenry, they do not set up laws for the effective regulation of trade, etc. etc. etc. All they do, their entire existence is centered around amassing weapons and killing Israelis.

Israel went to war to destroy the installations these terrorists use to fire rockets into their country. They went to war to handicap an operation that the Lebanese government tolerates.

Israel has well defined strategic and policy initiatives and Hezbollah only kills Jews. That is their entire purpose. To eradicate Israel, as is the case with all other terrorist operations.

They hate the U.S. ultimately, because our alliance with Israel has given Israel such an advantage economically, militarily, etc. etc. etc. that their mission is futility.

War is not two wrongs making a right, but in this case a state of wrongness being addressed by Israel for the protection of their own legitimate self interests.

War is to correct all wrongs. The best environment is not to make wrong decisions for the leaders of states so that there will be no war.
