Ensure you have enabled the "Finalise Disk" option..or are the films on your HD in the ISO format! if so then they should work.
Try this link.

I use "MAGIC ISO" to burn on to the disk's, works 100%

buy a cheap dvd player from your local supermarket (ASDA in the uk for example), make sure you find the unlock codes for multi regional, then it should work. You have not stated whether you are creating NTSC or PAL disks, not which one your machine is compatable with. This is the simplist thing, oh and before i forget, check you are using good branded disks in you media, preferably dvd-r

How old is your DVD player?. Older = poorer disc read capacity.
What make discs are you burning?. Non-branded = ok on most pc's but not necessarily on all home DVD players.
Try putting jpegs on the DVD and see if they can be viewed on your DVD player to make sure it can read the discs.

For playing on DVD players, try to convert it to avi format .I played some of the HD video trailer in this format. But ,it is of poor quality .Use only Nero for writing .Check for the files that ur player can support..My player supports avi ,mpeg,mp3,mp4, and some other formats too.......:-)..Dont waste the non-rewritable DVD's

Its not as simple as it seems.1st you need to download a DIVX CONVERTER to change the format of the disk (try "DivX/freeware") this will alter the codecs and any security so that it will work in any DVD player.then burn as normal.
The hard part, trying to understand the instructions.
OR you could buy a T.V card and a cable to connect to your T.V and use your computer as the player. This by the way is the legal way to view DVDs any other way and you could be fined.

u have to make a VIDEO dvd from your nero list (not just to copy the movie to the dvd disc as a data file), otherwise it will be playble only on PC and not on DVD player.
