after two incorrect answers, heres the hint that will give it away: back in the days, somewhere, the church asked musicians not to use this 3 note scale because of two notes in it that were the 'diablos in musica'. no kidding,. this is a real fact. so obviously this is an evil sounding scale. when i tell you the answer, try it yourself, it really does sound evil. someones ganna get it...

U guys suck! you want the answer? it is the DIMINISHED SCALE!!! get a guitar, pluck the low E, fret the 3rd fret, then the 6th fret. that is the diminished scale. it is a step and a half, step in a half, step and a half to octave, that is the 3 note diminished scale. teh first position, the open low E, and the 6th fret, the 'flattened fith' is the so called 'diablos in musica', TRY IT. interesting isnt it? tell me what you think of that. the diminished scale can be used in classical violin, bach, beethoven used it, all the way to heavy metal. it really is evil sounding, isnt it? it can also be labeled as every three frets, remember the formula, and search for patterns of diminished for piano, and blow instruments, but i explained it for string instruments. remember, every step in a half, three times to an octave, that is diminished, and the complete opposite notes, the low E and the 6th fret, are the so called diablos in musica. cool right?
