This has been very intresting. I don't clam to be smart at all. However there is a problem with the speed of light limit everyone keeps speaking of.

If you took off at the speed of light at the same time the light was switched on yes you would be flattened and vaporized. There is nothing we have at this time that could handle that much of a G force. You have to under stand that light is made of something and it can handle this startup speed. You will need to create a bubble in the light and once you are moving at the speed of light you will not notice any change or G force.

Look at like water. If you are in a river in a boat and the water is moving at 60 miles per hour. You shove off in to it and it is out running you at first but as you speed up to the flow speed you will no longer see the water moving. You are moving equal to the speed of water. If you was to just take off at the 60 miles per hour flow you would be smashed to death by the G force.

What I am trying to point out is light is a lot like how water flows. It is already shining and you can't see the end of the light. Same for the water it is already flowing down the river and you can not see the end. So there will not be darkness because the light is all around you and ahead of you. It will be the same as putting a 200 hp johnson out board motor on your boat and you will start out running the flow of water or light till the you run out of water or light. But the water or light is still there even if it is not moving. So is light standing still like in a big lake and we just need to learn how to float on it?

We are now learning to build solar sail boats in space just like we did years ago in water.

So many people are closed minded and being one super smart dude set a limit don't mean it is the limit. It was jus as far as he could see at his time. This bright man did not use a computer in his time and he came up with what he did. Think of what he could have done if he had what we have to day and was 18 years old.

There is a way to ride the waves of the light and all we have to do is find out how.

As far as the question goes I would have to say if you could get to the speed of light and faster all that would happen to the person is he would just be moving really fast.

I can assure you that it is 100% not possible. It's stated in enistein's special theory of relativity nothing travel faster or same as light except light itself!!!!!Why...lets say we have as super spaceship we want to get to speed of light 3X10^8 m/s as the speed get closer and closer to 3X10^8 m/s the engine have to do more work to gain fewer amount of output energy to accelerate the ship.So if we are 0.999999999999999999999999(3X10^8 m/s) the engine is probably generating infinate amount of energy adn still it will not reach 3 X 10 ^8 m/s even if the engine do even more work.So if we were to graph it out 3 X 10^8 m/s will be the asymedote of the graph!!!

The special theory of relativity predicted and proved that matter cannot travel even equal to the speed of light.

The length decreases when the speed increases; the time slows down and mass increases with speed.

Ans when the objects approaches the speed of light the length of the object tends to zero; the time dilates to stand still and mass tends to infinity.

if a person travels faster than the speed of light his mass changes to energy which helps him reach any where in a fraction of seconds
e=m x v x v

in this universe there is that types of object which moves faster than the speed of light.
god has limited the speed upto this speed (speed of light), no one can make faster than that of the light. so this question is not suitable for u. no one can guess what exactly will happens. the quess is guess and not exactly will be true

Before reaching the speed of light he will disintegrate and vanish in thin air.

If it's possible, then they would theoretically travel backwards in time. Assuming they survived the infinite stretching that would come with approaching such speeds.

So, yes, Yamato_K. He would quite literally write himself into the history books.

If on erarth ,the man would probably die due to friction,(heat, complete ashes). If in space then theoriticly he would reach the destination earlier than light(thus his mass has to be zero which is impossible). But practically its not possible.
