Don't do it, I bet it's to Nigeria and it's a gift? It's a massive scam and it happened to me twice. They will send you a fake email confirming payment with paypal, send it to spoof email and they will confirm it's a fake and you can report it.
They usually try and buy the "buy it now" items.
Also, if you report it and set up an unpaid dispute you won't be charged sellers fee's.

I have bought and sold on ebay, I never have posted an item until Cheque has cleared or pay pal come thorugh..

NEVER post something till you have the cash, remember you can't go home with that box of cornflakes until you pay TESCOs

Your smart enough to know not to send the item before you recieve payment so just email the buyer telling them so & that if they don't pay by your designated date, you will open an unclaimed item dispute on them. This holds no baring on your feedback score. I've sold many things on ebay!!

I'd say this is a scam.

Tell them no. Tell them to pay within 5 days or you will report them to Ebay.

I have sold over 100 things on Ebay (with 100% feedback) and have seen this scam tried many times.

Stand your ground and you will be safe.

Make them send their cash first. Wanting to post items is normal, but shipment # isn't because they haven't paid for shipping yet.

yes it doesn't sound good and don't accept it if it's a cheque from abroad as there is one that goes like this

sends a bank draft from overseas... you bank it get the money in your account, then they will say they dont' want it and ask you to return the money.. they will ask you to send it back quickly by western union as they have an emergency and need it...and then find out a week later the bank will return the bank draft as it's a fraudulent one or a fake one, take the money back from your account.. be careful...too late, you sent them cash they sent you nothing... good one eh? it takes longer for the cheque system to work than the electronic system used by western union

My moms and dads used to do an outstanding style of promoting on Ebay and an outstanding style of the time they could look to modern-day events to settle on what to purchase. that they had a incredibly wide decision of books, political and events memorabilia. they could see what politicians, events figures or events were contained in the information and could promote something that they had that changed into proper. i imagine that what sells on Ebay is probably an ever-replacing difficulty.

Don't even comtemplate it... the buyer has agreed a contract to buy the item from you, he has to pay before you send, have a look at the Ebay guidelines.. otherwise you probably won't see you money!

NO don't send the item, this is definitely a spoof and report them to eBay right away, i bet they are not in UK? every eBay user knows its cash FIRST. these spoofs can send you e-mails that look like they are genuinely from pay pal but believe me they ARE NOT, don't send any money please report these people.
