Since when have homosexuals started playing the race card? Is homosexuality a race now? Is a straight person now considered a racist because we don't approve of ungodly lifestyles? Since I don't approve of homosexuality does that also mean I don't like minorities and I am a member of the KKK? According to some of you, that is exactly what it means. A lot of my friends, however, found this amusing because a majority of them are of a minority class. African-american to be exact. Hmmmm...... Interesting. Very interesting. Isn't it?

Once again Eljones. I don't hate homosexuals or anyone else for that matter I just don't approve of their lifestyles. To tell you the truth I was just fine until all this gay marriage talk start hitting the fan. We have to draw the line somewhere now don't we.

Ah Drew. good question. The word of God clearly states that homosexuality is an abomination. It goes against the laws of God and nature. Therefore, it is my duty as a Christian to reach out to lost souls and spread the word of God. If I can lead but one lost soul back to the Lord then it would have been well worth it.

Actually, poolshark if you look at some of the responses to a question I most recently asked you will discover that i was indeed labeled a racist. I was accused of supporting the blacks being lynched and being a white supremist. My question has nothing to do with Julia. However, we are on the same page on some of our beliefs. However, I am not Catholic so some of our spiritual beliefs differ.

Oh Darkness, get real. If i don't embrace drugs and alcohol, am I embracing hate? If I don't embrace premarital sex, am I embracing hate? I think not. The only thing I am doing is speaking against sin.

Ah C Jinnett. That's where you are wrong. As Christians we are suppose to look out for our fellow man and help them we see them going down an unrighteous path. It is our jobs to lead you to the water. It is up to you whether you drink it or not.

It's not a race but a spiritual and mental illness of a severe form of sexual perversion and immorality. They know it, I know it, and you know it, so don't even worry about what they think about cuz it's mostly garbage anyway.

Racist? No. The term is homophobic, or hetero-sexist. I personally don't mind if you think that homosexuality is immoral, that is your freedom of religion, but when you think of gays as lesser beings for who they are or what they do, that is violating one of your religions most basic rules: Judge not lest ye be judged. The reason you are judged as a homophobe or hetero-sexist, is because you yourself are judging others. Instead of obsessing about the sexuality of others, focus on yourself. Work on trying to be the best person you can be. God doesn't care what you do about anyone but yourself. After all that's the only thing you actually have control over. In fact, when it comes time, I doubt God will look highly on your judgmental ways. Personally, I could care less. Think and fee however you want to, just as long as you don't try to violate my free will. I hope you find peace in your life.

Actually, this whole question is bogus ... it's copied from a question posed by Julia Encarnacion two weeks ago, "At least one person here thinks that being Straight is eqivalent to being in the KKK. Why?"
you should be ashamed of yourself, cave man ... deliberate exaggeration is the same thing as lying ... i thought christians were above behavior like that ... so it was not "gays and lesbians", but one single person ... it could have been a twelve year old kid that wrote that! ... you have misrepresnted the facts in order to cast aspersion on an entire group of people ... shame on you!

You have the right to choose your own thoughts / opinions. As a gay person I wouldn't ask you to "embrace" homosexuality, just as I don't "embrace" straight folks. It's a sexual preference (to me), I believe your attempting to blend the words "race" and "homosexuality" into one thing. They are two distinct different topics. I guess if you feel "that" strongly about homosexuals, then I might pose a question on you. Why are you posting questions in a chat room labeled: (Home > Society & Culture > Cultures & Groups > Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered)????

I doubt that many homosexuals would call you a racist.
But in a similar vein, most would consider you to be a biggot.
Not because you don't "embrace homosexuality" as you put it, but because you find cause to enter into a LBGT forum and flaunt your hateful venom.
In one of your own previous questions, you were suspect of non-believers asking and answering questions in the religion sections. But here you are a homophobe, asking and answering questions in the LGBT section.
Very interesting indeed.

It's not racism, it's homophobia and it's just as malignant a prejudice.
It's not up to you to judge gay people as leading ungodly lives, that is the purpose of whatever god or gods the individual believes in. In Christianity, it is the belief that judgement is undertaken by God himself, and so you can keep your big old bigoted nose out of it, okay?

No you're not a racist because homosexuality is not a race.
But if you don't accept homosexuality, you don't have to discriminate.
Everyone is free to voice out an opinion but you don't have the right to force that opinion to anybody.

Did they specifically call you racist?
I do compare all prejudice to racism, because I treat them the same. I also have close friends from several racial minorities. The majority of them are straight -- unlike your friends however, they do see homophobia as the same thing as racism.
Hmmmm.... could it be because they are not bigots? I'll bet it could.

You are judging us in a negative fashion about a topic you know nothing about, because you are obviously straight. Where does "Godly" come into play? Love the neighbor as thyself.

I don't call you a racist.
I call you someone who preaches bigotry, hatred, discrimination and therefore violence against LGBT people.
I certainly hope you don't have the gall to call yourself a 'christian,' since your thoughts, words and actions show you to be anything but. WWJD?
