cause they are too unhappy with themselves and their lives and this lives and this comes out in negative ways like being bossy, rude, sarcastic, annoying. They are looking for some form of attention - even negative attention because they must not have it from the other people in their lives. It is kinda sad - same with these types of people at work - sometimes they are jealous. They are overall just very needy people who crave attention and who don't really feel good about themselves. The more someone boosts, the worse they feel - the more they brag, the more empty they feel. That is really it - that is the explanation and if you try to keep that in the back of your mind when you have to deal with them, maybe you will see through the annoyance to the way they are kind of suffering inside - it is sad. But they can be irritating - they can. Just try to ask them- what is really going on or let them know how you feel in a nice way like - when you do this, I feel like this without putting them down or insulting them etc - so they don' t feel attacked. Try to give them some constructive criticism so they don't do this forever. They probably idolize you in some way so try to understand if you can. =)

thats their personality.. they dont mean to irritate you but its just that 2 people in such a situation do not click.. their two different personalities are not in sync to like each other... and there is always an expected behavior from the other person that you can interprete from his looks and when it is not delievered, you feel put down and that gets irritating..
mostly you are not in a mood of a particular kind of conversation and others still insist on the same.. that is irritating and when the same person repeats himself a few times.. he becomed an irritating person always.. and you cant stand him ever..
my suggestion to you towards any such people is never indulge yourself too much with such idiots.. let them be.. and you stay on your track and not letting them come very close to you in conversations.. or elsewise..
