Go to the chemist and get an eye bath or some drops.maybe there is something in it that just needs washing out. If you can't get to chemist just drop a few droplets of water in it.

Boil the kettle and pour some into a cup,mix in a teaspoonful of salt and leave it until its lukewarm, then bathe your eye with it.It should help to soothe your eye almost right away,Remeber that salt has many healing properties!I've used this method for years when my eyes have irritated me at all rather than paying silly prices at chemists for treatments that don't always work!Good luck whatever u choose to do.

Full fat milk is a good soothant for a sore eye... Its exactly the right pH.

I use an egg cup to put it there and blink a few times...

Hope that helps...

warm milk and water on a cotton wool ball and rest it over your eyes and let it drip into your eye, very very soothing.

find your work first-aid officer and tell them that you just got something in your eye and he/she should be able to gently wash it out with sterile water but say it happened 10 mins ago and you thought it would shift on its own
