In purity, a security guard shouldn't have purely military skills. A mercenary is a hired soldier. If you consider a security guard the same way as a soldier, then you're right. If Halliburton and other people are using mercenaries as a security force, it means they don't want trouble with the iraqi police who is plagued with resistance members.

Yes, a secruity guard is the one that gets killed for trying to do their job. A mercenary is the one that will kill you if you threaten him her or the mission.
A very long list or all the mercinaries used in the Iraq situation should be published, but it will not be published because you don't identify someone on this list.

Absolutely.
Security guards get $150 per hour. Mercenaries, on the other hand, get $450 per hour and a $100 per houir hazard duty add-on.
Both however, get $1000 per day for expenses.
