There is no definitive answer to this. It all depends on who is asking the question, and what type of answer works best for THEM!
In general, though, I'd say the one who gets picked has either given the most INFORMATIVE answer - or else has simply OUT-WITTED the competition with some sort of off-the-wall nonsense!!!!!!

Just put some time and thought into your answer. Try to answer the person's question by giving them real info instead of a quick response.

Be sincere, answer the question and don't give a long lecture, include a link where you can. I guess that's what's been working for me most of the time.

Try to stick with subjects you actually know something about - that helps. (Can't believe how many people's idea of an answer is "no clue" or "idk".) Like everyone else has said, put some thought into the answer and your chances of being chosen best are higher.

Give your answer and hope the asker thinks it is. If the answer doesn't come to you as soon as you read the question, don't answer it.

answer questions in complete sentences and give plenty of detail. Thats how i get them! good luck!!!
