Because the truth hurts. By the way, its probably nothing serious but the truth would seem like a lie to you even if he was honest with you because you already have your mind made up about the situation.

Oh yes... because women don't easily forget about that small matter once admitted to them and it's rather a cause for a BIGGER argument, especially once the woman's brain starts imagining nasty things. So why admit something that's not so big a deal?

I think both sexes are guilty of those.
The answer lies within the relationship between the couple who are sharing the lie.
Most people in these situations lie because they find it to be the easiest way to deal with a situation.
They seldom consider the consequences that inevitably occur.

Everyone's not the same, not me at least. Normally I don't lie to anyone, but whenever I do, for the better of the others, unselfishly. There's nothing in this life to hide for anyone I believe & it's better nobody do that ever. Keep your all cards open for everyone to see it, for peace of mind & easier life.
