Hip Hop sucks because you dont stand by it like metal guys/gals do whens the last time youve been to a concert to support hip hop?? Metal supports Hip Hop more than its fans!!! I think that heavy metal is not dead but currently it is evolving.

You are right in one way... heavy metal is dead in its true form but as I told you, heavy metal is evolving in a good way.

Have you ever listened Blind Guardian?, I really recommend you this band in my personal opinion is a good example of evolved heavy metal.

You gotta realize that heavy metal in its true form came from Led Zepplin-they did it first and they did it best-though there have been some great heavy metal bands since Zepplin the music evolved away from its true form-it has become something completely different. If the music scene is lacking in this type of music right now don't worry-there is some unknown band out there right now perfecting their sound-before you know it they will be the next big thing in heavy metal!!!

I completely agree with the whole Zeppelin statement. Although if you think metal is dead, go listen to Dragonforce ... They have all the key elements to be a huge force in the new age of metal.

It's not dead! And how can you even put Motley Crue in the same league as Maiden, Sabbath and Pantera....

first off, i need to ask: scorpions were heavy metal? there's only a finate amount of musical genres, and the taste in music of the general public goes in cycles, so in theory, yes, eventually, heavy metal will make a comback. finally, you forgot to mention queensryche, as they are as heavy as a lot of those bands, and much better than most.
