I think every person goes through that period where decisions don't pass through the part of your brain that applies reason and accountability.

Some do this during high school, some after high school or in college (that's me), some people do it in their twenties, others wait until later in life and have seriously disruptive midlife crisis periods.

I think that everyone has a latent need to be impulsive, some just repress it for longer than others. I wish I had gotten mine out of my system earlier, so that my decisions wouldn't have affected my future so drasitcally, but I think if I had waited longer it would have been worse.

It is something that you have to overcome.

When I first went away to college, I made some decisions that would fall into that category.

Yes, alot of them were impulsive so they didn't seem bad at the time but a couple of days later they seemed really bad.

of course, i gave up a job and property to move thousands of miles away to a place i'd never been on a whim, with no job and no money to speak of i packed what would fit in my car and left with $1000 in my pocket, that won't even get you an apartment lolololol it worked out fine though.

yes and most of them were crazy heck i was crazy lol ..... but it happens and it happens for a reason ......
