There is an IE plugin for Firefox if you didn't know. It opens pages using IE within the Firefox browser.

My first PC bought in 1997 came with Netscape. I liked it better than IE right from the start. When I heard of all the problems with hackers getting into IE I decided I would never use it except to lodge complaint with sites that didn't accept Netscape.

When I heard that Mozilla had been bought by some people who were slimming Netscape down into a faster, more stable browser, I went right to Firefox and got the latest version.
It is fast, easy to use and stable. Sometimes I am on the net off and on for 12- 18 hours a day and it has never crashed!!!!!

I can open multiple tabs with no problem and switch back and forth while one is loading I read the others.!!!

I had a problem a couple months ago with it, can't remember now what it was. Rather than risk a missing line of instructions goofing up my reinstall of Firefox, I uninstalled it and reinstalled. problem solved. So, it appears the problem was not a defect with Firefox itself but with a corrupted file. I did the same with the mail system called Thunderbird when it wouldn't show photos in my email and that fixed that too.

I use 3 browsers- Firefox, Netscape 8.1 & IE.

Firefox is great as it is fast, stable & customisable with themes & extensions(there are hundreds of these & almost every day a new one is added). As it is Open Source, it gained much popularity.

Netscape 8.1 is also fast, secure (as it has Security Center which warns u when u visit blacklisted sites) & customisable with themes & extensions (but not much themes & extensions are available for it). It was a great browser in the 90's. However since AOL bought it, it lost it's popularity.

Then comes IE. Yes, it sucks!!! It's very slow, an easy prey for hackers & virus-makers and not much customisable.

I use Firefox & Netscape for every day browsing.
I use IE only to download updates for my Antivirus.

Here are my ratings to these 3 browsers:
Firefox - 8/10
Netscape - 7/10
IE - 5/10

NOW PLS GIV ME 10 POINTS FOR THIS DETAILED ANALYSIS.
