Well, you shouldn't eat unhealthy foods, you shouldn't smoke, drink, or do drugs.

Intelligence is more for when after the baby is born, and how hard they study. While genetics does play some role in it, if your baby isn't born retarded (not saying it to be rude or in a bad way), then most of what makes them intelligent is how much emphasis they put on learning while in school and what not.

Beyond this, I don't think there's much you can do. Some people buy music for their baby to listen to, but statistically speaking, there hasn't been an increase of "smarter" babies because of that (mostly a company is trying to make money off you by exploiting your feelings).

As others have said, intelligence is mostly inherited, but there are still things that can make a difference.

Eating a good variety of fresh foods will help to keep you and your baby healthy both while you are pregnant and afterwards, and healthy babies tend to be able to learn more easily.

After your baby is born, breastfeeding can help to achieve your baby's IQ potential. Studies have shown that the longer you breastfeed, the better the results.

anything you do during the pregnancy wont help like listening to educational shows or listening to stimulating music.. once the child is born; however, reading to your child every day improves your child's intelligence more than anything. Once you child is old enough, encourage daily reading on its own and do puzzles and mind games like sudoku. I can promise this will increase your child's intelligence.

Eat almonds. Despite their small size, almonds pack quite a nutritional punch.

Listening to classical music also helps. Studies have shown that music can enhance a child’s learning. visit www.sso.org.sg for more details. They have a baby prom or something...

inteligence is largely genetic. you can however stimulate the brain development by playing classical music while preganant. eat a balanced diet and take a good prenantal vitamin and take salmon oil capsules. salmon oil contains the essential omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. the brain is made up of fatty tissue so it is fantastic for brain development.
good luck
