if it was for clothes, id say dozens of cheap. But shoes, if theyre not comfertable then theyre not worth it. If i buy a cheap pair of shoes they cut into my feet give me blisters and hurt my ankles. If i buy an expensive pair they dont blister or cut me but some people(those lucky) can wear cheap shoes without problems

I own 20 pairs of reasonably priced shoes, and one pair of Louis Vuitton shoes, so I can make a reasonable comparison here. Designer shoes are made of high-quality material, have a better fit, better balance and better cut, plus will be re-heeled and mended (lost buckles, loose stitching, etc) free of charge. So I would say that one pair of classic, expensive shoes beats a cupboard of cheapies. But I love shoes, so until you can afford a few expensive ones, stick with the cheapies - ONE pair of designer shoes only gets you so far!

dozens of cheap ones! cheap doesn't necessarily mean they won't last long, so i know i'll have lots to wear! besides, expensive shoes WILL wear out eventually. and if something happens to them my heart will break!

so i'll settle for a dozen other pairs. a woman can never have enough shoes! ^_^
