Have a family member who works for a VERY well known government security agency... there is one key head and seven immediately report to him.... of those seven, ONE is a female. That female has a doctorate and two masters degrees. All of the men? Only high school graduates. Yes. Thank you.

And the last major company I worked for? All the KEY heads of the company? All men. There were women up the ladder, but not as high up.

It still happens... and a lot of times it ISN'T immediately obvious to you when you're in the midst of it, especially if you have fairly decent working relationships with those guys... but it's there just the same. Unfortunately.

The people who run businesses and their boards of directors are not yet 50/50 male/female. Most businesses have zero women in the executive ranks.

The US Senate is not 50 males and 50 females.

The US House is not 50% males and 50% females.

Until 1981, there had never been a female Supreme Court Justice. Twenty-five years later, there is still only one.

There has never been a female President of the United States.

Why on earth would you thing everything is fine for the moment?!? Open your eyes, please. It's all around you.

I haven't personally experienced it but I can see it in my work place. The administrators are all men. I work in the kitchen and when we do lunches and things for them they act like it's my soul purpose in life to be there to serve them. Yes I know it's my job to serve them, but they have a very arrogant way about them and the way they act towards other women.

Perhaps men are more willing to work longer hours to achieve goals, which is normal.

Why worry about it? So long as you make enough money to provide yourself with food and shelter, who cares? Worth is NOT determined by a paycheck!
