Dude...seriously, one of the most successfuly TV shows of all time, Cosby. It just doesn't help with racism when race is suggested in anything, see where I'm coming from?

OK, we're getting some interesting answers....all I want to know, is if anyone will be offended if I founded WET, not if it would be successful.

oh yes, i've talked about this with my friend a million times. it will never happen, the majority of the black community- i think -would be very very pissed. i myself dont like BET, it reinforces stereotypes. i wouldn't really mind if there was a WET, im just curious as to what programs would be showed.

First off, UPN is not a white person channel. Secondly, no I wouldn't be offended at all. It's so unfair that black people get their own stations but the second white people have one it's called discrimination. I'm not racist, I would just like to have a music video channel where I don't have to hear country or rap, being that I'm not a huge fan of either genres of music.

That depends. Are you actually going to put something someone might want to watch on it? Because I am highly offended that we have like a billion TV channels and 90% of the time I can't find something I can stand watching for more than 5 minutes.

Not at all.
Too bad Spike beat you to it. Wait, that's Men's Entertainment Television. Disregard...
White America: Don't like specialty networks? Support the few non-white programs (and of course, we're referring to cast ensembles, as no concept is inherently white/black/asian/etc) out there. As long as the shows aren't getting the nielsen ratings they need to survive in the mainstream, there will be a need for specialty networks.
... which means Wayans Bros. who aren't Keenen Ivory or Damon will always have work. But I digress...

Not offended, but it would be pointless as 90% of the shows out there are by, for and about white people already.

that's a great one....but we already have lots of white television...i joke around with my African American friends all the time about such things like how whites have 11 months of white history month and only February for black history month, and things like that.....kinda makes ya think....some people complain about "blacks have this" and "blacks have that"..but in turn we all have our own "things" it's sad though that as far as we have come..it's still not far enough to end racism and hatred towards each other

Tell me you are not one of those people trying to copy after the show BET [Black Entertainment Television]. Oh well, everybody has tried it, why not you. P.S. Will your show be any different?
