I've often pondered this question, sitting in class, staring at my very attractive Career Development teacher.
As a woman in college, I can totally see your point here. It's definitely frowned upon for many reasons. You'll be looked at as lecherous *even though I'm sure she's over 18* and she'll look like she's trying to hump her way to an A.
Does she know you love her, are you in a relationship with her? Have you ever hung out with her? What is the real situation here?
There's so many answers I could give you depended on the logistics of the situation.
If you don't know her really outside of class, I would feel her out - if she's a bad student, ask her if she needs tutoring outside of class. Or, if she's a good student, ask to get together with her to tutor some other students, or whatever. Then you could interact with her and see if you really do love her.
If you have a already have a relationship with her, well, it sounds like it's working so far. If she doesn't have a problem with it, and you don't either, then it's fine. I would keep it under wraps just in case your school has strict guidelines and rules against teacher-student relationships. My school doesn't, but yours might. I would check it out.
Good luck :)

A teacher has no business seeing a student. Go pick on someone who is done with her education.

Look – tell it to Jerry -- You are so fired if you act on these feelings. Students pull all sorts of BS to up that GPA.
And if you are some gnarly old dude -- you are so going to jail son.

I have had a crush on one of my professors all year, but I would never pursue a relationship with him. If you really love her, wait till she graduates.
