I support it because I believe it is unity with the southern states. Just like I support the union flag because it brings the north together. They have different views, basically democrat(north) and republican(south) and I just like the twang, and the hospitality. Plus my family is from down south. It is a different way of life. And I support the southern different way of life by the flag.

Actually, I take that back. I don't support the northern states.
And Everyone talks about "skin color". It is not skin color. Think about where blacks live. A concrete jungle tore up with graffiti and gunshots. But where white people live it is safe. at least safer then the ghetto.

I fly a Confederate Battle Flag in front of my house. I fly it because I am disgusted with all the political leadership, both Democrat and Republican, in this country. For me the Confederate Flag represents all of the individual rights that we have lost over the past century

I'm not sure if you truly understand what supporting the confederate flag means. I support the preservation of the flag and the cause for which it stands. It isn't a race thing. If you think that is what it is please don't buy one and fly it. You'd be doing an injustice to my ancestors, yours, and many other southern men and women (black and white) who fought under the Confederate Flag. Get an education on the flag and then decide if you want to fly it or not. If you're interested in preserving your heritage and the history then join your local SONS OF CONFEDERATE VETERANS group. And don't make racist comments please.
How come it is OK for the Mexicans to protest in the streets under foreign flags and use them as a racial tool, but when a white tries to have a bit of pride in his or her own heritage here in America,it is always deemed as racist? The double standards in this country are overwhelming. Most Americans today would rather give support to a bunch of illegal criminals from a third world country, then support their own countrymen.
I can't believe what some of you here are saying to this person.Calling him/or her a racist for support of his/her heritage.Hypocrites

you had obviously never heard of trailer parks and guess what they are down in the deep south. saying only black people lives in poor areas are myopic and disgusting. you should just get bitten by a rabied racoon and die.

The last answer is possibly the best. Buy one, read your history, don't let people make you feel bad for having it, or learning about it.
