I do understand both of those letters and the word itself.

Neither...I happen to understand both. It is however the need for some people to cross that boundary. Or atleast try defy 'no' in some way. When you say 'no' to someone they take it one of two ways...the first way, they back off and show respect. OR in your case it's taken as a challenge. Yes...in some cases saying 'no' to someone is like you are challenging them the more you say it the more they feel the need to persue what ever it is your saying 'no' to...and therefore your phrase 'what part of 'NO' don't you understand...' was born. So in short...I think I understand it quite well. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

If N and O are the two parts that make you, if you're NO-incarnate, the part of you that made you ask this stupid, pretentious question that has almost become a cliche in chatrooms where bullies try it when all else fail or just whenever they know they can't hold on their own, is what beats me.

No means yes N= Never, O=objection
Yes Means Y= you E= Ever S= sanctioned
