Is marriage still sacred to anybody out there or has this thing called divorce made it too easy to escape?

Too No Drama I said escape because that is exactly how people appear to see it these days a quick escape like an Exit sign in a burning building. The onyl difference is the building is not burning there is just a little smoke and people are still yearning to flee for their lives..

I don't think anyone in todays society takes any commitment seriously. There is not sense of commitment that I see.
Unless someone has lost everything in life, then they do not appreciate what they have and then there are those who have lost it all and still don't get it.
I can tell you this,,, divorce is ugly and scarring and affects you the rest of your life!

It is sacred to me , but 4 years ago I could not avoid it , he found someone else.. after 25 years...so if it is sacred to one, it still doesn't help if the mate wishes to move on...I would have bet I would never sign a divorce paper , but I did. marriage is something very sacred, but today's people think new is better, and do not wish to work as hard as they should to save it. We have many places where we can go for help to save a marriage , but my ex said he did not wish to get help , he knew what he wanted...he got it but now I don't think he got what he wanted ...too bad...

I think marriage is a very sacred thing and when u marry someone it should be just as your vows say, but i have recently divorced b/c he stepped out of our marriage and b/c of that it was good to get divorced.

I was brought up to believe in the institution of marriage.Were two people unite as one.The Bible promotes marriage as long as God is the head of it.Yes divorce is the easy way out.It goes against all that God holds sacred in marriage.Marriage is suppose to be a life commitment,not when things get rough and i can't deal with it anymore,run for your life thing.

Marriage is the leading cause of divorce. lol
I think its sacred and should be salvaged if at all possible, but sometimes when people do not love each other anymore and make each other miserable it may be time to move on but only when its a last resort.

Marriage is very sacred but in a sinful lustful world where anything and everything can draw us away from our commitment to our spouse-the whole thing is going downhill and our morales have been thrown out the window!

I am still happily married for almost 8 years. Some neighbors of ours a few years back divorced and they had 2 little girls. The woman re-married soon after to another man who had 2 kids of his own...I saw her today and she told me how hard their life has been since.

Marriage when both of them having wonderful dream together. Thought that everything is wonderful and perfect. After spending time together for too long, they seems getting bored with life, all their wonderful dream are just a dream. When one them cheated, become abusive and controlling.... its the end of the wonderful dream and begining of bad dream... divorced..... Life is not always as wonderful as we thought...

Interesting that you used the word "escape". You escape prison, you don't escape a party. You escape froma burning car, you don't escape from an amusement park. Think about that.
