i was born in korea and was adopted by my family when i was 3. i always remember them saying things like this is lora we got her 2 years ago, like i was a freaking car. back then i didnt think anything of it but know i hate them for it. i know many other families that have adopted children from different contries and they all acted the same way. we are people not objects

Yes, because they act like their kids are fashion accessories instead of children. They have to get whatever race/ethnicity is in style so they can keep up with the Jones'.

I would certainly not use the word hate, but I do question it. There's lots of kids here to adopt. Why not deal with them first? I've always figured it's a perception of innocence thing. People would see a little baby left in an orphange somewhere in Africa probably ended up there because of drought, famine, or war. An innocent victim of sorts. A baby here though probably had a drug addict for a mother and is therefore "tainted". Maybe it is something to show off too. If you're white, and your kid is Chinese, everyone is going to know you adopted him. Who knows. It certainly does puzzle me.

I know people who have adopted children because they couldn't have their own or because they wanted to help children from another country. I've never met anyone who made a massive deal out of it.

Okay its not just white people moron. Every child needs a good home and parents, the color of your skin doesnt change the fact that thats who raised you. They are their parents, family, they love eachother.

It IRRITATES the hell out of me, coz yes we appreciate the fact that they tuk the kid out of poverty and r actually giving the child a better life than they cud have dreamed of. BUT why parade them around like little trophies?

No, I don't hate it when white people adopt children.
No, it doesn't bother me that people raising cihldren are happy with themselves.

anyone who adopts a kid SHOULD be adored. now what i dont like is white women who sleep with black men and try to act all black and crap. and get pregnant and have black babies and then think somehow that they ARE black
