o.k. this is how old I am...the last concert I saw was so long ago that I can't remember what year it was but I saw Melissa Etheridge on the gulf coast in Mississippi. There were only four other band members but they put out enough music for a twenty piece band. My husband went under protest and for at least 3 months after-wards would not let her 'Yes I Am' cd out of his sight! He immediately became crazy over her as I already was.
It was one of the best shows that I have ever seen and this statement is being made by a a girl who has seen almost all of the great bands from the 70's. ROCK ON!

Last concert I went to was of my favorite band, U2, but I really really really want to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers, therefore I am very jealous of you. lmao. I so wanted to go to Lolapalooza, so many good bands there. I'm glad you went though and I bet the Chilis were as good as everyone says they are, since I've never been to one of their concerts (cries a million tears. lmao) Good to know other ppl like awesome music.

Craig Chaquico in Anchorage. Great show!
There was one moment when he told the story about the day his Dad died. His sax player just kept playing the same melody over and over from the song "A Kiss Is Just A Kiss". Just that line. All the lights in the theater came down except one spot on the sax. The sax came down and Craig told how his Dad felt ill one morning on vacation, Mom put him in the car to take him to the hospital and he insisted on a kiss before she closed the car door. By the time she walked to the drivers side of the car and got in he was gone. Craig finished the story and the sax came back up playing that same phrase. Man! There was not a dry eye in the house. The sax stopped and it was absolutely silent. Absolutely silent! Except for people sniffiling, including me. It was the most poignant moment I have ever experienced in a public setting except church.
The rest of the concert Craig ripped the roof off the joint. Awesome!
