You should drink much of water for keep balancing water in your body. Your lips including skin will be moist and firm. Find some lip conditioner or lip balm. I love Burt's bee, Bloom! Anyway, if you can find the brand Helena Rubinstein, Collagen lip zoom is the best answer...It worked on my lips.
Talk about Vasline, I think it just coat your lips but it doesn't treat lips at all.

Drink lots of water. The cracked lips are an excellent indicator of dehydration as well as anemia. Use a lip balm frequently to keep your lips moist.

drench them in chapstick every night, and sleep with a towel on your pillow so it doesn't get all over and put a lot on during the day. Mine got better in a few days, they crack easily too. If youve already tried this, ask a dermotologist or your docter about it. They can prescribe or recomend something stronger. And try not to lick them, it just dries them out more.

Bath and Body works has a $10 shea butter lip balm in a jar. It's expensive (to me) but it really works and it lasts a long time.
Other than that, make sure you're drinking enough water, cut down on salt, and avoid licking your lips - this only makes them drier.

lips cracks for various reasons. first and foremost, if you stay in a cold climate, or you use too much of makeup (lips stick), or you do not drink plenty of water.. there are many reasons.
if you recognise the first two points mentioned above as your problem, then it better to use a lip moisturiser like "dr.lips", "vaseline", etc...
hope this makes you smile......

You lack some serious kissing. I can volunteer for that. hehehe. but seriously you need serious hydration and a way to keep the moisture in. temporary answers would be glosses lipstick and stuff. But you should watch what you eat. Maybe add a little salty food to your diet to enhance water retention but as a gal I think you would not want that.
