Here's the receipe:

1. Use Magnet to isolate the iron fillings.
2. Use Water + Bottle + Stirring Rod to dissolve the salt
3. Use Forceps to pick out the Sawdust
4. Use Funnel to the sand.
5. Use evaporating Dish + Burner to turn the salt water into salt

Good Luck!

Look for a question in your book that is similar and follow the pattern. Pretty sure the magnet might extract the iron though. The forceps will hold something over the burner. Think about the weight of the different substances. Last thing, if the salt, sand and sawdust were all in water, wouldn't the sawdust float? Maybe you could scoop it. Then you sand and salt to deal with, which would be in the water still. Water will eventually evaporate leaving the salt behind. Get the sand out of the water and I think you have it!

I don't know the whole answer but that stuff seems to make sense.

Mixture, fyi, not misture! Maybe that was a typo :)

see, first to sepearte the iron fillings,u use the MAGNET so that the iron fillings will be attracted to it.
next u use a BURNER,DISTILLED WATER,A FUNNEL.and boil the mixture with water in a funnel then u pass the vapours thru the breakers and collect themm in a wash bolltle. then lets the vapours cool down and u will get ur SALT.
use the water containing mixture(from funnel) and filetrer using the FILTER PAPER. u will get sand in that filter paper.
then i dont know abt saw dust.

Very, Very Carefully I am sure!!!

Magnet the Iron Fillings out FIRST
Filter the Sawdust out
Evaporate the SALT from the SAND

This is just a GUESS. I have NO clue as to REALLY how you would do this!

You're supposed to do your own homework, not have others do it for you. Cheating is not learning.

Try thinking about the properties of each substance and how they differ from each other.

Hint: The water is a critical ingredient.
