My sister is 12 and i caught her in the act of "fingering herself".She begged me to not tell mom and of course my sister and i are really close and i would never tell it is just, i think she is way to young.What should i do and is this normal?

Well, of course i am not going to tell and i know that i once fingered myself to because i am now 16 and i was not doing untill i was 14.

I dont understand why some people are saying this is wrong, its not abnormal too explore you'r body, even at 12 years old, and to suggest she may have been touched before is ludicrous! its just making problems out of a totally natural experience, young girls do it...and i bet everyone reading this probably had experimented with their bodies by this age.
girl its absouletley natural, nothing to worry about, all girls (and boys) do it, even though the may be embarassed about admiting it, you just happened to unfortunately have caught her in the act.

she evidently isn't way too young to be exploring her body if she is doing it.
However, I think I would ask her if anyone has inappropriately touched her in her past.
that you and she can trust each other on this level is a good thing.
You will know when sharing with mom is necessary or not.

She is a young girl going through puberty. Everyone gets sexual urges. If you caught her masturbating, just know that is perfectly healthy, and just about everyone masturbates every once in a while. Don't worry about her, and just remember, its much better for her to masturbate than to go out and have sexual intercourse with some guy she barely knows.

Sounds like shes just exploring her body. This is very normal for a girl her age. Just continue to stay close to her. She may need your advice someday.

Be happy, at least she's not out with somebody. She's around that right age that young girls start exploring their bodies. Nothing to worry about. Just respect her privacy.

Completely normal my friend. Respect her wishes by not telling anyone. Girls bodies mature before guys do :) Don't worry bout it. All normal.

This is very normal all children explore their body. Don't tell it's only her business, you would want her to forget if she caught you.

totally normal. some g.i.r.l.s go through puberty way faster than others and this is around the age were u start to get s.e.x.ually excited or curious.don't worry about it. and definatlyDon't tell unless u get her ok.
