The Earth has had ice ages, they were cooling periods, between them were warming periods. This has been going on for all of Earth’s 4 billion years. This all happened before any of the modern day came into being and will continue after we are gone.
The Earth is going through a pole shift right now. A pole shift is when the magnetic poles swap polarities. During pole shifts the magnetosphere is weaker and more of the Sun’s rays strike the Earth, this causes extra heating of the Earths surface, and makes global warming more pronounced.
These are natural cycles of the Earth. We puny stupid humans can no more stop or even reduce a natural cycle of the Earth, than the man in the moon. This is 9th grade science, and one would think that scientists and politicians would be better educated, but it seems that this not so, and they could remember 9th grade science class too.
This may just may be another smoke and mirrors propaganda campaign to cover our governments lies and con games. There are so many conspiracies running rampant it’s hard to tell which are real and which are just simple stupidity. The idea we can stop global warming IS stupidity at it’s highest form.

Then you should of watched 60 minutes tonight, global warming is TRUE and happening right now....according to scientists the sea level will rise 3 feet in the next 3 generations. But you know, with the moon moving away from the earth at the rate of 1/2 inch per year whats a little global warming right

I do agree with the global warming stuff. I am studying environmental science, and I have learned a lot about this topic, not just what is covered in the movie. It is apparent that there are some major issues with our climate, and that if nothing is done, the effects of global warming will only worsen. Some of it does sound to some people a bit farfetched, but global warming is real.

are you mental? there is nothing imaginary or exaggerated about global warming. it's true your small contribution to global warming doesn't amount to much. the problem is everyone has your same attitude. and everyone's collective contribution amounts to a huge amount of carbon in the atmosphere. which causes--you guessed it--global warming!
you obviously weren't listening to anything gore said. there are no questions about the science behind global warming. the only questions come from pseudo scientists who are hired by industries to cast doubt on the facts of global warming because reducing greenhouse gases would cut into the profits of said industry.
it may not happen in my lifetime or even my kid's lifetime. but it is happening. the planet is getting hotter, polar ice is melting and much higher rate than can be explained by normal peaks and valleys, oceans are warming causing much more catastrophic storms than ever before, and heat waves are becoming more frequent and more intense throughout the world.
facts my good man. doomsday may be a ways down the road but i personally don't want to contribute to it.

I suggest you take a week and watch this movie several dozen times... You might need an interpreter or two since you seem to miss the obvious message.
This movie was not the work of one man's opinion and an attempt to scare people in general. This movie is factual evidence being used in a way to make people aware of what is happening and that the world needs to make some very definite changes...

algore and his movie is all alarmist crap. if you think that 60 minutes is the gospel, then i have a bridge to sell you. as for your environmentalist, yeah, we are warming at the moment, but it would have happened with or without us. for every one scientist that you get to tell me we caused global warming, i can get 5 who say we didnt. this planet will do what it has to do regardless if we are on it or not. and, does no one take the sun into account for our weather patterns? THEY SHOULD!

I like the title, but unless the film consists of more than just more scaremongering by scientists with a political axe to grind, I would probably not even bother with it.

I support it only because so many internationally renowned scientists have backed up the film.
