Why do you think we have war? Why is it necessary for people, all over the world, to kill each other, to try and get peace? Bombing Federal Buildings, crashing into important buildings, crashing planes. Does this affect anyone else even though we have no control over it? I just don't understand why people can't get along. Am I too soft hearted?

The reason is : THE HUMAN BEING needs and desires.
If you think about it.. the real reason behind any of those events is one person.
9/11, would not happen without Ben Laden. The Holocaust, would not happen without Hitler..
Why they do it ? Always some reason that ends up with the love of power and control..
Can people get along.. yes.. but not he leaders.. most of the time they get greedy and want more..

No your not too soft hearted. Its a humans nature to be good and bad no one is completely one or the other. Its also in most peoples nature to take the easy way out and it is alot easier to hate then it is too love. When you love someone your putting your feelings on the line. So people decide to hate other than love. Also some people are raised to hate and to be mean, some just care about what they want and if the can't have it they take it. There are alot of reasons for hate it would take me forever to name them all but always remember that hate is just another way at giving up and that's what most people have done. But the people who stay strong and keep the love alive will change the world and make it a better place.

No, you're not soft-hearted. But you must understand that to a man with a hammer every problem is a nail.

If a man is selling bombs, he must get someone to use them in order to make a new sale.

If a man is facing reelection and knows he will be dumped, he must start a conflict in order to galvanize the electorate behind him.

If a man will make more money by getting someone else to escalate a conflict, he does his best to do so.

There is too much money and political power available to those who are in a position to generate wars. Unlike in the past, there is no restraint; at one time, these same people had to go into battle also. But now, they just send other people and collect money, votes, power, etc.

You are probably a bit naive and young and don't understand why people act the way they do. Have your parents ever got and fought. What about your brothers and sisters. Have you got mad at them. Carry this to countries being mad at each other. Poor countries are envious of the richer nations. Look what's going on in Israel and Lebanon. The Jews have been under attack for centuries and probably will for centuries to come. We have war for various reasons. Some countries seek power or domination. That's just the way it is - we have periods of peace and periods of war.

Humanity has a deathwish, though not everyone gives power to it. Also, the fear of death has been scientifically proven to trigger aggression and violence, so people kill each other because they believe they need to do so to protect themselves from dying. Some do it out of fear, some do it out of hate, some for the thrill, but many are simply not given the tools to resolve conflict peacefully, because there are people making lots of money selling them weapons instead. War is big business.

Cultures rise, cultures fall. Both require the incorperation of other people and believes into the existing ones. Conflict arises. Wants and needs change. Fights turn to group arguements. War evolves. One idea survives. That idea grows, slows, stagnates, and another replaces it the same way it was taken out. Cultural evolution. THe ideas that survive are the ones that lead to the regional success at the time and they die out when they beocme irrelevent.

yes you are too soft hearted. if you think we are immune to another civil war think again - the world is a big place and everyone wants it for themselves - you cannot have a one world government.
