Hi. I started my precious "AdjoAdjo Jr" on second baby foods when I noticed that she was pushing the food around in her mouth, and mashing with her jaws around 6 months. Because of this, she adapted quite well to the lumpier textures. I also introduced mashed meat (jar) at 6 months. I think I gradually started stage 3 foods around 8-9 months. At first, she gagged a little, on the pieces and would spit out anything lumpy, but soon got the hang of it. She just turned a year old on 7/20 and she is fed exclusively table food now, and sometimes the Gerber line of Toddler foods. Hope this helps. Oh, and go to www.gerber.com and register with them. They send great coupons in the mail, and also provide you with an adorable "promise pen" that you can wear (I have mine on my keychain) and a growth and food chart, and some great menu items for your baby.

First baby foods = 5-6 months
second baby foods = 7-8
third baby foods = 9 -10 months

first baby foods are when your child shows their first interest in foods, and given a new food per week until they have experienced most food types, for allergies.
second food types are usually around 6 months many jars do have it listed, and third stages are for when your child can swallow bigger chunks with out gagging... usually 9 months or so.

My son started them arounf 8 months and around 9 months I started giving him soft table foods, like peas, well-cooked diced carrots, shredded cheddar cheese.

I started my daughter on them this week. she is 6 months old I give her stage one veggies,I have to add butter to the veggies to help her eat them she does that whole funny face squinty face becasue they taste so bad as for the fruits, she enjoys all her fruits and she will eat both stage one and stage two.

I sa it depends on the child and how they digest the stage one food.

nicely, that would matter on your toddler's age. in the experience that your toddler is on the threshold of a year in age i could wish he/she remains not on in basic terms point a million meals, yet must be weaned off formulation and onto cow's milk. in the event that they're below a year, NO. formulation must be your toddler's important source of food till they seem to be a year in age. apart from, i'm hoping you at the instant are not giving your toddler extra juice than formulation. it is crammed with empty energy and your toddler could desire to easily have a pair oz. at a time(AT maximum).
