I thought it was 20 gigs but windows says 2 gig HD with 400 megs used, 1600+ available, but my new digital camera says I have no memory available to install it's program on, it only needs 200 megs, what is going on?

Empty your recycle bin and do a disk cleanup (start, all programs, accessories, disk cleanup) and then restart your computer and see if that helps, but, yeah it looks like you have about 20gigs or less and your operating system needs a good bit to operate so it starts shutting down anything that tries to use up that memory. Good luck!

1024 mb = 1gb

People think it's 1000 mb because that's what is used for all the cards and usb flash drives, but by definition (and what computers use) it's 1024
